Sapient created the interface for this interactive u-vend vending machine that was showcased at the 2008 Beijing Olympics in support of the launch of Coca-Cola's We8 custom bottle campaign. Press
The U-vend machine featured a 46 inch Samsung LCD touch screen instead of the traditional vending machine buttons.
The W8 Olympic bottle campaign featured 8 custom bottle designs from 8 Chinese artists, along with the music from 8 western musicians — together they formed the We 8.
I scripted the display presenting the bottles and artists, basing the concept around quotes from each creator about their passions, their bottle design inspiration, and the Olympic spirit.
